Community Service
Community Service includes projects and activities that Rotarians undertake to improve the quality of life in their community. Our Community Service Committee is dedicated to meeting the needs of people living in the metropolitan San Diego area, such as promoting literacy and STEM education, helping the elderly and disabled, addressing homelessness, and otherwise reaching out to our underserved population. We also have a strong commitment to our veterans, active-duty military, and military families. We do this through both grants and hands-on projects. Here are some of the organizations we currently support:
- Armed Services YMCA Food Drive
- Meals on Wheels
- YWCA - Becky's House Women's Shelter
- Father Joe's Villages
- Fern Street Circus
- Logan Heights CDC, playground project
- USO at the airport
