On Wednesday, June 28th, we celebrated outgoing club president, Martha Page, with a demotion party at Feast and Fairway at the Coronado golf course.
More than 70 guests attended the event which started with cocktails and socializing, followed by a Mexican buffet. The program opened with a selection of creative songs by John Highkin. Brian Matter then took over to lead us through an amusing account of Martha's life and careers leading up to her Rotary presidency. At that point, Martha stepped up to say a few words and thank all of the members who served on the board of directors. Many thanks to Lynn Hamilton and Melissa Blackburn-Joniaux for their work in organizing the event and arranging the venue. Thank you also to Kevin McElroy and Brian Matter for their hard work in creating an entertaining program.
