CEO, Friends of Balboa Park

John Bolthouse has been named the first full-time executive director of the Friends of Balboa Park support group.

He was the chief operating officer of the San Diego Air & Space Museum a decade ago and most recently was executive director of the Water Conservation Garden next to Cuyamaca Community College in Rancho San Diego. Previously he was the La Jolla Historical Society’s executive director.

He graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a degree in air transportation and aviation sciences and a master’s in nonprofit leadership and management from the University of San Diego.
